For those who complain about this restaurant does not appreciate a FAMILY owned business they are there to make money and feed you not be your personal slave and have your kids terrorize the place. The waitstaff is all family and with an excusable off day they are pretty suffiecient in their job

La Grange is home to many decent restaurants, some better than others, many rather expensive compared to others. I have lived there for 21 years and have tried them all. Cafe Calbay is my all-around favorite.

I highly recommend NOT frequenting this restaurant. Especially if you wish to bring your children, have semi decent waitstaff or have edible food. Gets my vote for worst “restaurant” in Lagrange.

The first impression I got from outside was “this place looks really cute!”.... but then everything from food to service was “okay”....literally just okay...nothing fantastic. No real wow factor....

This place looks like a 50's diner because it was a 50's diner ((no faux atmosphere like Ed Debevic's (got that Melman?)). It is the most unwittingly hip restaurant in LaGrange. The staff is wonderful (the waitress calls me babe - not bad for a single guy in his fifties). I mean me, not the waitress… Read more

Love this place; we go every sunday for breakfast and everything is outstanding. also love their grilled cheese for lunch
