Review by jimsred for Café Calbay

This place looks like a 50's diner because it was a 50's diner ((no faux atmosphere like Ed Debevic's (got that Melman?)). It is the most unwittingly hip restaurant in LaGrange. The staff is wonderful (the waitress calls me babe - not bad for a single guy in his fifties). I mean me, not the waitress. They cook eggs to perfection and the apple french toast was actually served to the gods on Mt. Olympus. Of all the great breakfast places around LaGrange, this is the best.
